Terms of Service

1. Who these terms are with

Cyber VK is an online cybersecurity education platform and authorized digital product reseller, operated by WEB CODE STORE (PVT) LTD, a private limited company incorporated in Sri Lanka. These terms are between you and WEB CODE STORE (PVT) LTD ("we", "our", or "the operator"). Using the service, creating an account, or completing a purchase means you accept them.

Cyber VK is an authorized reseller of examination vouchers and training products supplied by Secbyte LLC. Products listed in the store are procured directly from Secbyte LLC and resold to customers under this authorized reseller arrangement. This does not limit your statutory rights or the remedies available to you under these terms.

You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account. Where local law sets a higher age of digital consent, that age applies instead. Accounts are personal and are not transferable between people.

2. What the service includes

What your account can do is determined by your tier. The full entitlement table is published on the pricing page and is the same table the platform enforces at request time, so the marketing figure and the enforced figure are the same number by construction.

Where a capability is described as unlimited or included, it is not metered per action. It remains subject to the published rate limits and to available capacity. No capability anywhere on this platform is governed by a fair use policy, and none should be read as if it were.

3. How the platform may be used

The acceptable use policy is incorporated into these terms by reference and is published separately because it is the document that actually matters day to day. In summary: the techniques taught here are for use against the sandboxed targets provided, against systems you own, or against systems whose owner has given you written permission. Nothing else.

Attempting to reach anything on the Cyber VK infrastructure outside your own sandbox, including other learners sandboxes and the platform itself, is a breach of these terms. Testing the platform itself is welcome, and there is a documented way to do it: the responsible disclosure policy.

4. Billing, renewal and price changes

• Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. The renewal date and amount are visible in your account before they are charged.
• Cancellation is available from the account page at any time and takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no retention flow and no requirement to contact support.
• An upgrade takes effect immediately and is prorated against the remainder of the current period. A downgrade takes effect at the end of the current period, so you keep what you bought.
• Prices may change. An existing subscription keeps its price for the term it is in, and a change is announced before the renewal that would apply it.
• Taxes are added where they apply, based on your billing location.

5. Refunds

A first payment on an account is fully refundable within 30 days, with no requirement to explain why. Ask through the account page or through support and the refund is processed to the original payment method. The guarantee applies to the first payment on an account rather than to every renewal, which is stated plainly here rather than buried, because a guarantee whose scope is a surprise is not a trust signal.

Beyond that window, an annual subscription cancelled mid-term may be refunded pro rata at our discretion. Statutory rights to a refund, including any right of withdrawal under consumer law where you live, are unaffected by anything in this section.

5A. Examination vouchers and digital products

• A voucher order does not require an account. You must provide an email address you control because that is where the receipt and code are delivered.
• The product page identifies the examination provider, voucher region, validity information, price, currency and any provider restrictions known to us. You are responsible for checking that these match your intended examination before ordering.
• An order is accepted only after PayHere confirms payment and our stock check assigns a unique code. A checkout screen or bank authorisation by itself is not acceptance.
• A voucher is a single-use bearer credential. You may use it personally or give it to its intended recipient, but you may not resell it or use it fraudulently.
• Digital delivery, cancellation and refund rules are published separately and form part of these terms.

6. Content and intellectual property

Cyber VK owns the lessons, labs, rooms, questions and other materials on the platform, or licenses them. Your account gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own learning. It does not give you the right to redistribute them, to use them to train a competing service, or to reproduce them in a course of your own.

Content you create, including forum posts, writeups and notes, remains yours. Publishing it on the platform gives us the licence needed to host, display and moderate it. You can delete it, and deletion removes it from public view immediately and from backups within the retention window described in the privacy policy.

7. Sandboxes, and what they are not

Lab and CTF environments are deliberately vulnerable systems running on isolated infrastructure on a separate domain from the application. They are provided for the exercise you are doing and nothing else. Using a sandbox to attack a third party, to host content, to mine cryptocurrency, or as a general-purpose compute resource is a breach of these terms and is detected.

Sandboxes are ephemeral. Each one is destroyed at the end of its stated lifetime, which is published per tier, and anything left inside one is gone. Nothing in a sandbox is backed up, and nothing in a sandbox should be treated as storage.

8. Availability and support

We aim for high availability and we do not promise it contractually at these prices. Planned maintenance is announced in advance where it will be disruptive. Support first-response targets are published per tier on the pricing page and are measured per ticket rather than averaged, because an average hides the ticket that waited a week.

9. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or close an account for a breach of these terms or the acceptable use policy. Where the breach is serious, for example attacking another learner or attempting to reach the platform infrastructure, suspension is immediate and is not preceded by a warning. Where it is not, you will be told what the problem is and given a chance to fix it.

If we close your account for a reason other than a breach, we refund the unused portion of any paid period.

10. Liability

The platform is educational. It is not a security assessment of your systems, it does not make you compliant with anything, and passing anything here is not a substitute for professional advice about your own environment. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We will post a changed version here with a new effective date. Where a change materially reduces what you get or increases what you owe, we will tell you before it takes effect and you can cancel without penalty. A change log is maintained so you can see what moved and when.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka. Nothing in this clause removes mandatory consumer protections or your right to bring a claim in another forum where the law where you live requires it.
